
Regional Director - Europe
A British citizen, Graduate of London University with twenty years experience in aviation security, Mr. Mackay currently is responsible for European operations.
Malcolm enjoyed a distinguished career with the Royal Hong Kong Police where he spent thirteen years in investigative roles, completing his service with the Commercial Crime Bureau and achieved promotion to the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. He was one of few officers ever to receive the Governor’s Commendation for outstanding leadership and detective ability, the highest police award made in Hong Kong.
After moving back to the United Kingdom, Malcolm became the Director International Airport Operations and Security for TWA. His area of responsibility included the UK, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Mackay has undertaken a number of long-term projects involving risk-based assessments for airlines and airports in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He is an IATA training course Director. He has consulted the office of US Congressman E. Markey on the subject of air-cargo security and is also currently involved in the delivery of a training programme to the European Investment Bank designed to assist in combating fraud and corruption.
Mr. Mackay has wide recognition as an industry professional with expert knowledge in aviation security relating to airports, airlines and air cargo. An authority on the subject of Chinese organized crime and a speaker of five languages, Mr. Mackay is married with one daughter and resides in Vienna, Austria.
